John-Marx

Hi! Im John-Marx, 

I am currently attending United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, where I am working towards a MA in Ministry and an MA in Theology and Religion. It was thanks to Ryan Cagle at Paradox Press / Games - itch.io as well as Anna Anthropy who you can find at anna anthropy - itch.io that I began to understand solo-journaling RPGs not just as a fun medium but a tool for for both education and spiritual growth. Most of my work is centered around these ideas. I also love making crappy collage art as well as zine making. 

If zines are your thing I am also a co-editor of a zine called "Altar Punk". You can also explore my micro zines for a Unitarian Universalist Liberation Theology.

When I am not reading or writing for school, you can find me spending time with my partner and our children, creating crappy art with Crayolas, preaching from punk lyrics, designing games, freestyling songs about whatever is going on at the time, partaking in self-care with a Solo-Journaling RPG or two,  and reading for myself. 

I am currently thinking more and more about solo journaling RPGs as a form of social-spiritual-emotional development and will continue to explore them as a medium as both a player and a designer.
